Cinderelly’s Fairy Godmother
By Eliza
Gus, one of the mice from Cinderella, just found out that Cinderella is going to the ball and is off to tell his friend, Jaq.
“Jaq! Jaq! Cinderelly’s going to the ball! Cinderelly’s going to the ball!” I screamed. “Wow! Wow! Gus Gus slow down! What is happening?” Jaq said surprised. In between gasps I say, “I was running over to give Cinderelly a present, and then I saw this old looking lady with a blue cape on hanging out around Cinderelly. At first I was thinking of ways to save her but then realized she was her fairy godmother”. I then told Jaq, totally out of breath, that we needed to help Cinderelly get pretty. “Hurry Gus”, Jag squealed in excitement, “lets go!” “Hang on…gasp…I need a…break…gasp”. I told him with my hands on my knees ready to fall over on my big belly.
Let me tell you, I hate running! I get enough exercise running away from that darn cat. I am normally so exhausted I don’t even want to go to the bathroom. But I will do anything for the prettiest Cinderelly.
When we get back to the garden where I saw Cinderelly, I stopped to take a breath before I went over to talk to her. During that breath I saw something amazing. “Jaq do you see what I see?” I said. Jaq was just as surprised as I was. Cinerelly’s old dress, that was torn apart by her awful stepsisters, was now a beautiful gown. I started to walk towards Cinderelly when I saw a few crumbs on the floor. I could not resist, my stomach was growling. All of a sudden I heard a zapping noise. I went to pick up the crumbs but my hands were gone. “What in the world is going on?” I said. My hands were now very long and I was very far off the ground.
Terrified, I looked for Jaq everywhere, but he was nowhere to be seen. What has happened to me and where is Jaq, I thought. There was no time to search I was soon attached to a big carriage, that used to be a pumpkin by the way. Cinderelly hopped in side the carriage and off we went. Maybe there will be some great food at the ball that I can eat I thought as we set off to take Cinderelly to the ball.

Eliza, this is a great story. We rarely think of the mice who all of a sudden found themselves horses. It was clever of you to tell the story from Gus' viewpoint. I hope you continue to write.

Eliza,
I really liked this story! You did a great job of describing the viewpoint of the mouse and great descriptions of him turning into a horse!

This story is awesome. Gus is my favorite character in Cinderalla. I love that he is a little chunkier than the others. I like how you worked his physical attributes into the story and how that can affect his ability to help Cinderalla. But he continues to be a true friend. Great story!

I love your story! It is so cute! I like how you did it from Gus' point of view I would not have thought to do that. It is very creative and funny! The last paragraph is the best great job!!
